Brian Smith

Brian is a project controls and construction management leader with
more than 17 years of experience spanning infrastructure, power delivery, and
hyperscale data centers. His background combines project controls, finance and
process development, with expertise in cost management, forecasting, risk, reporting, and improving project execution across complex capital programs.

Prior to joining AVAIO, Brian served as Manager, Project Controls, North America at
Vantage Data Centers, supporting hyperscale campuses and multi-billion-dollar
programs ranging from $1.5 billion to more than $14 billion and up to 696 MW.

Previously, Brian spent more than six years with MasTec, supporting major
infrastructure and technology programs, including a $1.5+ billion utility program
encompassing 12 electrical substations and more than 700 miles of transmission
infrastructure.

At AVAIO, Brian leads project controls across the development and construction
lifecycle, integrating cost, schedule, forecasting, risk, and reporting to provide
leadership and investment partners with visibility into project performance, capital
requirements, and execution.

Education: Brian holds a BBA in Finance with a minor in Quantitative Analysis from
Georgia Southern University.
