Mark McComiskey is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of AVAIO Digital where he brings two decades of experience in private equity and infrastructure investing. Mark has been at the forefront of the development, construction, operation, acquisition, and financing of private equity and infrastructure investments, including thermal and renewable power, electricity transmission lines, and gas & oil midstream infrastructure across the United States and Europe. Mark founded AVAIO Digital to offer large data center campuses with integrated grid and onsite power solutions to meet the compute infrastructure needs of the most innovative companies in the world.
Prior to founding AVAIO, Mark led Prostar/Vanwall and was Co-Head of Private Equity at First Reserve, then the world’s largest energy-focused private equity and infrastructure investment firm. Prior to First Reserve, Mark was a principal at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Mark has held various board positions for public and private companies in the US, Canada and Europe, including Petrotal, DHT, Dresser Rand, and CHC, among others.
Education: Mark holds an AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College and a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
